GREEN Restoration is a design and site management business that specializes in natural areas rehabilitation and landscape designs specifically targeted towards infrastructure landscaping.
Our company provides industry-standard consultation along with customized support for the development of approval detail design documentation. We also manage contracts for a diverse range of landscape elements, including:
We pride ourselves on reclaiming site materials for reuse within the project scope. With thoughtful intervention, existing site materials can enhance the project cost-effectively, adding value to any rehabilitation initiative.
Our goal is to collaborate closely with clients and their teams to produce stable, long-lasting environmental solutions that align with budgets and timeframes, including detailed revegetation plans.
We also have extensive experience in assisting clients to engage and work with their local community in environmental initiatives, including infrastructure landscaping projects, such as tree planting days and vegetation walkthroughs. Our expertise in artificial habitat design and management complements our environmental solutions, ensuring effective revegetation plans tailored to community needs.

GREEN Restoration provides multi-tiered solutions for clients requiring environmental solutions that address a range of issues and offer clear directions for the future.
GREEN Restoration specialises in the design and management of natural areas rehabilitation/revegetation, including detailed Revegetation Plans, as well as landscape design of linear infrastructure and Water Urban Sensitive Design (WSUD) devices. Our founding Director, Murray Swales, boasts nearly 20 years of experience in natural areas and landscape design, encompassing all aspects of associated project management.
Murray has designed, consulted on, and managed numerous revegetation and rehabilitation projects across terrestrial, riparian, and coastal environments. His extensive expertise in infrastructure landscaping covers a wide range of projects, including roads, various types of WSUD devices, and mining and pipeline surface restoration.
Murray’s process is fundamentally hands-on; he personally assesses all project sites to ensure that all site constraints and opportunities are considered while documenting the existing fauna and flora species. This thorough approach lays a strong foundation for all works, including rehabilitation design, documentation, and reporting. Once a successful solution has been proposed, Murray provides accurate cost estimates for all designs to assist clients in raising project budgets.
As the Director of GREEN Restoration, Murray has collaborated closely on various linear infrastructure projects, advising on solutions, producing detailed design documentation, managing erosion issues, and providing landscape and rehabilitation contract administration.
Thanks to his connections within the industry and attention to new developments and research, Murray delivers excellent, cost-effective green solutions based on his experience in managing rehabilitation and stabilization projects, including Artificial Habitat design and management. GREEN Restoration consistently offers unique insights throughout the design process, drawing from Murray’s extensive experience in 'Green Infrastructure' auditing.
Murray prides himself on working collaboratively with the client, their specific needs (and budgets), and the client’s greater consulting team. This ensures that his solutions consider all project site attributes and provide the best outcomes that directly address your needs.

We will target existing issues and mitigate for any potential future erosion as part of our design. Where possible we will reuse site materials to assist erosion controls and create habitat niches. We have experience in growing site species and threatened flora species for reinstatement.
